This is a course of three loops: the Red, Blue and Green. Twenty seven holes of fine heathland with changes in elevation that add to the difficulty, but increase the quality of the views. The main course comprises of the Red and Blue nine; the Green being much shorter.
St Georges can be accurately described as beautiful, with the magnificent surrounding properties complimenting the course and adding to the experience.
There is nothing unreasonable about the severity of the slopes and being relatively short, it has been branded "too easy" by some of the critics. We think it has a lot of character however and although the heather was in need of some regeneration, there was enough difficulty to focus the attention of any golfer.
The elevated and purpose-built clubhouse affords tremendous views over the course and frankly we found it impossible to pick any one hole as a favourite; primarily because they are all different with a very tasty array of medium and long par 4's as the highlight!
OK then………….. the par three 8th on the red course wins; 180 yards of pure beauty!
